Sin City
Holy crap, Sin City was good.Chances are, you can find any number of good reviews of this movie elsewhere, but suffice it to say that this is the first time I've seen a movie based on a comic book that was actually an improvement over the original material, because it is the original material. They just took the comics and filmed 'em the way Miller had written them and drawn them.
The result is that all of the strengths of the comics come through, and the experience is only enhanced by the actors' performances. Many of which were excellent.
